Armani Prive Spring Couture 2011: Hello Future!

Hello there, Future!

For these past 20 years, 2011 had believed to be a Space Era. People back then might imagine we would be living in houses like seen in Star Wars.

But. Unfortunately. We are not. We're still living in houses made from brick and stone, and to be exact, not much different from those 20 years ago.

Armarni Prive  might be just the dream comes true for those dreamers. It's all about si-fi movies; the rubber-looking like materials mixing with the farmer hat.
I love si-fi movie. I really do. But, frankly Monsier, these might be way too much. I'm not much impressed by the collections like I had always been.

Review: Golden Globes 2011

Twitter actually encourages me to write a review on this award event. Since I woke up til now that almost everyone on my timeline has tweeted pictures of dresses on the red carpet, proving me I actually live in the Social Network Era.

First of all, I would have to say this year golden globes is fashionably marvelous; lots of stars attend and most of them are fashion-savvy.

Let's talk about the overall trend on the red carpet this year, it seems like the sparkling dresses and champagne color are in!

Top 5

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Mura.

It's literally hard to pick my most favorite between the first and the second. However, at the end I decided to give the place to J. Lo because her look is an absolute goddess. It could be a normal plain spaghetti white dress, but with the addition of the see-through diamond-embroided chiffon, it just turns everything around.
But, just one thing. only one thing of this true-diva look that I DON'T LIKE is the make-up around her eyes. The white eye-shadow. Uh-oh.

Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham.

It's funny enough that the designers of my both top 2 favorites are unknown to me. I kind of familiar with Ms. Lopez's but not with Sandra's.
The first time I laid my eyes on just the upper part of the dress, I die! No matter how much her hair irritates me, I would still want to die for the dress.
But, to be honest, I am a little disappointed when I see the whole gown.
Doesn't it a little bit too much? My suggestion would be to maintain the upper part of the dress but exclude the way-too-much-embroidery lower part, change it to just a normal champagne color.

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection.

This is the best look out of all. Everything is perfect; the hair, the make-up, and the dress. Just perfect. As the two previous looks have at least one thing I don't like. But I love everything in Claire's look.

Leighton Meester in Burberry Prorsum.

How could I not talk about his girl?
This is surely on my favorite Leighton's look list. I love the purse, the shoes, and fabric. Very very elegant and lovely.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa.

People are talking about her dress. This is the first dress that I've seen from the event. It looks stunning. Marchesa has never let anyone down. But only thing I don't like about the look is her hair. Wouldn't it be more suitable for the dress with other style of the hair; this is not the right fit.
Note: Oh. The shoes are fierce. Love them.

Best Hair

Kelly Osbourne.

Maybe because of this angle of the picture makes everything looks better. She just looks classic. The hair looks formal but not too formal, well-formal for the dress and an event, however, it still looks not-too-formal which goes perfectly well with her age.
I love the way the earring looks here.

And big congratulation to the loveliest mom-to-be, Natalie Portman! Looks very cute in Viktor&Rolf.
