Armani Prive Spring Couture 2011: Hello Future!

Hello there, Future!

For these past 20 years, 2011 had believed to be a Space Era. People back then might imagine we would be living in houses like seen in Star Wars.

But. Unfortunately. We are not. We're still living in houses made from brick and stone, and to be exact, not much different from those 20 years ago.

Armarni Prive  might be just the dream comes true for those dreamers. It's all about si-fi movies; the rubber-looking like materials mixing with the farmer hat.
I love si-fi movie. I really do. But, frankly Monsier, these might be way too much. I'm not much impressed by the collections like I had always been.

Review: Golden Globes 2011

Twitter actually encourages me to write a review on this award event. Since I woke up til now that almost everyone on my timeline has tweeted pictures of dresses on the red carpet, proving me I actually live in the Social Network Era.

First of all, I would have to say this year golden globes is fashionably marvelous; lots of stars attend and most of them are fashion-savvy.

Let's talk about the overall trend on the red carpet this year, it seems like the sparkling dresses and champagne color are in!

Top 5

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Mura.

It's literally hard to pick my most favorite between the first and the second. However, at the end I decided to give the place to J. Lo because her look is an absolute goddess. It could be a normal plain spaghetti white dress, but with the addition of the see-through diamond-embroided chiffon, it just turns everything around.
But, just one thing. only one thing of this true-diva look that I DON'T LIKE is the make-up around her eyes. The white eye-shadow. Uh-oh.

Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham.

It's funny enough that the designers of my both top 2 favorites are unknown to me. I kind of familiar with Ms. Lopez's but not with Sandra's.
The first time I laid my eyes on just the upper part of the dress, I die! No matter how much her hair irritates me, I would still want to die for the dress.
But, to be honest, I am a little disappointed when I see the whole gown.
Doesn't it a little bit too much? My suggestion would be to maintain the upper part of the dress but exclude the way-too-much-embroidery lower part, change it to just a normal champagne color.

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection.

This is the best look out of all. Everything is perfect; the hair, the make-up, and the dress. Just perfect. As the two previous looks have at least one thing I don't like. But I love everything in Claire's look.

Leighton Meester in Burberry Prorsum.

How could I not talk about his girl?
This is surely on my favorite Leighton's look list. I love the purse, the shoes, and fabric. Very very elegant and lovely.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa.

People are talking about her dress. This is the first dress that I've seen from the event. It looks stunning. Marchesa has never let anyone down. But only thing I don't like about the look is her hair. Wouldn't it be more suitable for the dress with other style of the hair; this is not the right fit.
Note: Oh. The shoes are fierce. Love them.

Best Hair

Kelly Osbourne.

Maybe because of this angle of the picture makes everything looks better. She just looks classic. The hair looks formal but not too formal, well-formal for the dress and an event, however, it still looks not-too-formal which goes perfectly well with her age.
I love the way the earring looks here.

And big congratulation to the loveliest mom-to-be, Natalie Portman! Looks very cute in Viktor&Rolf.

My Favorite Fragrance Ads.

Never ever that any advertising would capture my attention this much. These two print ads give me some surprisingly special feeling I've never got before.

Yves Saint Laurent's 'Belle D'Opium'.

First thing that caught my eyes is the costume, apparel to accessories. Very beautiful and strongly captivate me. The fragrance itself smells heavenly.

Lanvin's 'Marry Me'.

Really, this print ad well suits the name. I feel the love all around. This is indeed a very good photograph, it does express an emotion. This perfume will make your man wants to say, "Marry Me!".

Frankie, the Magazine.

I went to a bookstore today and found a very unique magazine from Australia, in fact, it doesn't even look like a magazine, it's published on high quality papers and in nice color tone, moreover, the pictures are very artistic. Actually, it looks like an art photobook.

The following are very impressive fashion shoot.

These are a very cute illustrations.

In addition, this art book-like magazine carries very rare advertisements. They mostly are clothing line, but they do not look like one. They match the concept of the magazine well enough that I though they were another fashion art or illustration.

Frankie sure to reach a very niche and specific target customer.

Only thing that left me wonder why does it be sold in Thailand then?

2NE1 : It Hurts

I always have something to talk about 2ne1. I would say I admire those people behind their scene. They are superbly creative and obviously know what awesome means. These girls always come with the coolest concept, and their costumes are always ahead of trend.

Well, none of the credit should go any where else, except to the stylist team! They have a supernatural ability of searching for the coolest, rarest, and chicest items. Seriously, I want to be on the team.. and of course not for searching the stuff for these girls, but for myself ;)

Okay, may I talk a little bit about my background information before we move on. Not so many people know that I secretly obsess with the Gothic stuffs, everything from house to accessories. I always have a secret dream of living in Gothic church.

Which would lead back to 2ne1's latest music video which was released the day after Halloween, perfect for the theme; the 'haunting house'.

Starting with the setting and props.

See what I've talked about previously, they are so good of finding unique stuff; this skull locket could prove.

Later, my favorite part! Everyone know they have very unique styles and wear the most stylish pieces of clothes, and to top those up with the unusual hair and make-up! Gosh. I would have to borrow Miss Zoe's hit word, 'dying'.

I love her hat! <3

She rocks this blue hair! And, I love the umbrella sooo much!

I like this new style of cat-eyes.

Check out the full music video and the rest of fashion ;)
